Comments: Surf City is a borough on Long Beach Island (LBI), which is located in Ocean County, New Jersey. Surf City, NJ is home to the first big hotel on the coast of New Jersey, called the Mansion of Health. Unfortunately, the Mansion of Health burned down in 1874, leaving just a cove that is now referred to as "Mansion Cove." The main landmark in Surf City is the Surf City Yacht Club (SCYC). Many who love the sea also love to dedicate their summers to the Yacht Club for sailing, swimming, fishing, etc. Each week, there are races against other yacht clubs on the island.
