In 1844, portions were taken from Delaware Township, Voorhees Township, Berlin Township and Chesilhurst to create Waterford, as one of the first township in the newly-created Camden County. The township of Waterford, NJ has a population of 10,707 residents based on the 2006 census estimate. Waterford, New Jersey occupies the second largest section of Camden County, NJ, with a total area of 36.3 square miles. U.S. Route 30, County Route 534 and County Route 536 all pass through Waterford.
